The Future of UNDERHELL
So... Its Out! You can now play the earliest version of UNDERHELL right now! this is just a small early access version, i am planning to add a stroy, upgrades, more bosess and maybe other things as well.
Currently the name doesn't really make sense, UNDERHELL is just a combination of one of our inspiration game (UNDERTALE) and the genre (Bullet Hell), but I still think the name can bring new opportunities, what if the entire game was in a place under hell? I don't want to spoil too much of what i have planned for the Post Jam story, but the idea of a place under hell is very intriguing and I want to see how I can explore that idea. here are a few ideas for some enemies i think would fit well with this style of gameplay
Something i think would fit quite well is a business demon, something inspired by Gravity Falls' "Bill Cypher" and Hazbin Hotels' "Radio Demon/Alistor", this could bring a lot of possabilities into the game, like being able to skip bosses if you make a deal.
Currently, I am thinking about a system that would work like this:
- Some bosses would be skip-able if you make a deal with The Business Demon.
- The more deals you make with him, the harder he will be at the end of the game
- You could Undo deals by fighting the bosses you skipped (And to stop players from skipping all available bosses and then going back, they will be harder once you go back to fight them again)
Another big idea i think would work, would be a Dragon Demon, this one would move very fast and would rely more on dodging the dragon rather than escaping his projectiles like the other bosses
Keep in mind there I might not make a big post-jam version. but i at least want to try.
